CDMP® Assessment: Validating the opportunity to improve.
During this 3 - 4 day on-site visit, JATA's expert CDMP® team of medical and coding professionals conducts a clinical evaluation of a statistically significant sampling of DRG-based records. The CDMP® team determines whether any admissions have been categorized in a sub-optimal DRG or assigned a DRG not supported in the documentation. In our experience, approximately 4% of Medicare DRG-based records provide a statistical sample that allows us to project the impact CDMP® will have on your annual reimbursement and we typically see a 24% change rate for documentation improvement.
